After last week’s avalanche of 26 new digital cameras, and with PMA set to start in just a few days, this week was comparatively light for new digital camera announcements. Samsung did announce three unique consumer cameras, and Olympus announced a new digital SLR.

Here’s a rundown of all the new cameras and news for the week. As always, if you’re interested in a particular camera model, click on the link beside it to see to a full product page and description.

Starting Monday we’ll have updates on all the new cameras announced at the PMA conference, so be sure to check back for all camera goodness than you can possibly handle.

New Products:

Samsung announced three new cameras this week, all of which have some pretty unique attributes that make them stand out from their competition. One even has a built-in MP3 player.
•TL320: takes pictures at a 12-megapixel resolution, has a 5x optical zoom, and 3-inch AMOLED screen. The camera uses analog fuel gauges to help you keep track of whether your battery and memory card are “full” or “empty,” and shoots 720p high-definition video. The camera is expected to be released in May of this year with an MSRP of $420.
•HZ15W: takes photos at a 12-megapixel resolution, has a 10x optical zoom, and a 24-millimeter ultra-wide angle lens. The camera can shoot 720p high-definition video and has an HDMI port so you can playback those videos instantly on your HDTV. The HZ15W is expected to released in March of this year for an MSRP of $329.99.
•CL5: in a unique move by Samsung, the CL5 has an integrated MP3 player so you can create your own musical slideshows or music videos directly on the camera. The CL5 takes pictures at a 9-megapixel resolution and is expected to be available in April (in a variety of colors) for an MSRP of $260.

Olympus showed off a new digital SLR this week. The Olympus E-620 takes pictures at a 12.3-megapixel resolution, has a swiveling LCD screen, and can accept compact flash and xD-picture cards. The camera is expected to be released in May for an MSRP of $700.
